We are a group of geeks that believe in an objects-first approach to UX and digital product design. We practice some form of Object-Oriented UX, making sure we answer these questions before designing screens:

What are the objects in the system—the real-world things that are valuable to the business and the users?
What are the relationships between the objects?
What calls-to-action do the objects offer up to users?
What are the attributes of each object?

We are all here to help each other practice Object-Oriented UX and make the process of answering these questions better/stronger/faster.

MANIFESTO

Here within the OOUX Forum, user experience designers come together to learn (and build upon) Object-Oriented UX and the ORCA process so that we can transform ourselves, our teams and our industry to work smarter, not harder.

As we practice and evolve this methodology, we all become stronger UX practitioners. With these skills, we can make the world a better place by crafting more naturally intuitive digital places that align with how the human brain works!

We come together to exchange ideas, sharpen the techniques of OOUX, set new and measurable standards for good UX.

We encourage each other to up-level our careers by finding our niche within this niche and sharing it with the world as thought leaders.

But in the end, our goal is to see OOUX grow beyond a niche—because together we've brought it into mainstream UX process. The term "OOUX" will be a footnote in the history books, as it becomes just the default way UX is taught and practiced.
